Hurricane Irma was one of the most damaging storms to hit the Keys in a long time. Yet Florida came together, neighbor helping neighbor, and it was amazing to see. Despite the obvious destruction on land, the storm stirred up and reset the Ocean making the fishing as good as it has been in 30 years.

Tom & Rich go offshore of Hawks Cay, FL Keys & find the best Yellowtail Snapper fishing in 30 years.
Yellowtail have not been this hungry in the lower keys in over 20 years.
We used the St. Croix Rods Legend Xtreme and the Yellowtail loved the jig heads.
The conditions could not have been more perfect, nor the fish more hungry.
Rich hooked up with what he thought was the largest Yellowtail he'd caught in his life.
Turned out he had a delicious bycatch Cero which we took home for dinner.
The Yellowtail didn't stop biting all day.
Irma was tough on Florida, but the reward was the best Yellowtail fishing we've had in years.
