I thought that the Opah was only found in the Pacific Ocean, but I was wrong. My friend, Geoff Arias sent me a picture today of an Opah. (You may remember Geoff...we shot a TV show together and you can see that here.) When I first looked at it, I thought that he had probably taken a trip to Hawaii. Then, I looked back at the text and saw that it was not caught in Hawaii but rather, off the coast of Ft Lauderdale.
Our friends over at Moldy Chum posted this video of an Italian fisherman stuck in a hail storm on the ocean. This video is definitely worth a look to see golf ball sized hail stones hitting the ocean...
To put it in perspective, casters are scored in accuracy on a scale of zero to 300 in three events. Maxine scored a combined 289 in three events for fly accuracy. That tied for the fourth highest among all casters, no matter age, gender or past achievements.
I had never seen a Bull Shark attack a turtle before or since that moment. I was millimeters away from jumping exactly between the shark and turtle and I knew how bad it could have been. At times like this, I feel like there was someone watching me who either put the shark in the picture or kept me from jumping 1 second sooner...
